Hello! My name is Katie Saunders,

I am an Entry-Level UX/UI Designer with a passion for putting the customer first.

I am from Oahu, HI, and recently traded the real jungle for the concrete jungle that is Dallas, TX.

🎓I got my BA in Communications & ICT from the University of Hawaii: Manoa which is where the seed for UX/UI Design was planted. I just recently completed my certification for UX/UI Design through the Springboard Program and am ready to hit the ground running!

💼Sandwiched in between my time in college and Springboard I worked as a Realtor at Redfin/Century 21 Island Homes in Hawaii which really helped me hone skills like presenting, negotiation, and talking amongst stakeholders (aka my lovely clients).

I thrive in collaborative environments, where I can facilitate teamwork, bring people together and act as a liaison between cross-functional teams all working towards a common goal. It is a huge passion of mine to build innovative solutions that help us grow collectively and produce the best products. Throughout this process, I always strive to balance business goals with customer needs.

When I’m not doing design, I am pursuing my side hustle in photography for user-generated content📸, playing outside, and traveling the world✈️.

If you have made it this far into my "about me", the biggest takeaway I'd like to exude is that I am fearless. I understand that life has its twists & and turns but I am confident in myself to roll with the punches and make the best out of every situation I'm in.
